Nissan name first employed in 1930sIn 1928, Yoshisuke Aikawa founded the actual holding company Nihon Sangyo (日本産業 Japan Industries or Nihon Sectors). The name 'Nissan' originated during the 1930s as an abbreviation[14] officially used on the Tokyo stock market place for Nihon Sangyo. This company was the famous Nissan "Zaibatsu" including Tobata Casting and Hitachi.
