Nissan name first employed in 1930sIn 1928, Yoshisuke Aikawa founded this holding company Nihon Sangyo (日本産業 Asia Industries or Nihon Market sectors). The name 'Nissan' originated during the 1930s as an abbreviation[14] used on the Tokyo stock market for Nihon Sangyo. This company was the actual famous Nissan "Zaibatsu" which included Tobata Casting and Hitachi. At this time Nissan controlled foundries and auto pieces businesses, but Aikawa did not necessarily enter automobile manufacturing until 1933.The zaibatsu eventually grew to add in 74 firms, and became the fourth-largest inside Japan during World War II.In 1931, DAT Jidosha Seizo became attributed with Tobata Casting, and was merged into Tobata Casting in 1933.
